Welcome one and all to the newly designed web presence of Mad Scientist Technologies.

After a few months of tweaking the site designs, adding services through the site, and working on content we are proud to release our new web site to the world. Some of our new features include: Support Forums, Support Ticket Tracker, Frequently Asked Questions Directory, Live Chat Support (Beta Status), and Online Appointment Scheduling (Coming Soon).

Site Tour

This is the first official design for Mad Scientist Technologies’ web portal. We actually had three prior designs but we never released them to the site because they lacked polish and good practices. This design is the forth incarnation of our web portal – but who’s counting – so we hope you like our hard work. If you have any feedback please feel free to drop us a line, either in the comments of this article or through our contact form. Now that we have the background story out of the way, let us start the tour…


Along the top we have our logo, our RSS subscription link and a site search powered by Google. The RSS subscription link allows you to follower our articles from the comfort of your favorite RSS reader, feel free to subscribe – It’s FREE. The site search can find resources throughout the site – from our articles to our support forums.


Directly below the header is our main navigation for the site. The site navigation can be broken down such as:

Featured Articles

The biggest thing on the home page is the featured articles slider, over time the slider will display our featured articles or promotions.


On the sidebar you can find links to all our important services and resources on the site. The sidebar is available on almost every page for your convenience.

The first element is a shortcut links to our support options, the quick links include support options such as:

  • Schedule Appointments
    Coming Soon – This feature will allow you to schedule an on premises or an remote support session
  • Remote Support
    Information regarding our remote support services and a easy link to install our remote support client
  • Phone Support
    Information regarding our telephone support services with the function of calling our phone support directly from the web site (Powered by Google Voice)
  • Email Support
    You can send a request for support via our online email support service and track the response online with our Support Ticket System
  • Live Chat
    You can chat with our helpful techs with our Online Chat System in a Instant Messenger Interface
  • Support Ticket
    Track your current or past support request in our Support Ticket System.

Next is a list of ten random Frequently Asked Questions from our FAQs Directory. If you have an idea for a FAQ please feel free to send it to us for inclusion in the FAQ directory – please tag the message with #FAQ.

Following the FAQs is the site poll, I think it is pretty self explanatory.

Then we have our resource links, these links point you to our online resources such as our support forums, downloads, our FAQ Directory, and more to come. You can find the expanded list of resources that live under this section earlier in this article – under navigation.

At the bottom of every page is our footer, in the footer you can find our contact information, useful links to sub-pages of the About, Community, and Projects sections. Then at the bottom of the footer you will find our Terms & Conditions Policy, Privacy Policy, and Trademark Notice that governs most of this site.
