Steps to Fix Automatic Update of Google Chrome

1. Open Registry Editor
   1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run Dialog.
   2. Type “regedit” into the Run Dialog and hit “Enter” or click “OK”
   3. If an User Access Control dialog appears, click “Yes” to continue to open the Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to the following Registry Path:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\

3. Change the registry key UpdateDefault or DefaultUpdate to a value from 0 for Off to 1 for On.
4. Close Registry Editor.
5. Google Chrome should now be able to automatically update itself.
